01This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Built On Dreams LLC ("we", "us"), which makes and licenses Redline. By requesting, buying, downloading, activating or using Redline you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

02Redline is software, not a service

Redline is a desktop software application. It reads credit reports that you obtain and import, shows information about them, estimates which items may be disputable from the facts in them, drafts letters for you to review, edit, sign and send yourself, and tracks deadlines that the law sets.

Information in the software about consumer protection laws (for example the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) is general information about your own rights. It is not legal advice and it may not cover your situation. If you need advice, talk to a licensed attorney.

03No promise of results

We do not promise, represent or guarantee any outcome. That includes the removal, correction or deletion of any item, any change to any credit score, approval for any loan, card or account, or any response from any bureau, creditor or collector.

Estimates shown in the software, such as the likelihood that an item may be removed, are calculated from the information in your own reports and are estimates only. Sample screens and figures on our website use sample data and are not anyone's real results.

You may only use Redline to dispute information you believe in good faith is inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. Accurate and timely information cannot lawfully be removed, and the software is not to be used to try. Filing a false identity theft report or making false statements to a bureau or creditor is against the law.

04Your licence

When your copy is issued we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Redline on the number of devices shown on your download page (normally one), for your own credit file only.

• Each copy is licensed to one named person and accepts only credit reports that carry that person's name. You may not use it to prepare disputes for anyone else, or for pay.
• You may not share, resell, rent or sublicense your copy or your activation key, or offer Redline as a service to others.
• You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or remove the licence protection from the software, except where the law expressly allows it.

The software and everything in it remain ours. You own the letters and notes you create with it.

05Price, payment and refunds

The price is shown on our website in US dollars and is a one-time payment for a licence, not a subscription. Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe, our payment processor. Any sales tax due is shown before you pay. After payment your licence is issued to the full legal name you enter at checkout and your download link and key are emailed to you, usually within minutes.

If a payment is charged back or reversed, we may revoke the licence issued against it. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the consumer law where you live.

06Delivery, activation and check-in

After your copy is issued we email you a private link with downloads for Mac and Windows and an activation key. Each link allows one download per licensed device; a download only counts once it finishes.

To keep your licence active, the app checks in with our licence server from time to time, sending only your licence number, a device code and version information (see the Privacy Policy). If it cannot check in for an extended period it may ask you to reconnect before it opens.

Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" message when you first install Redline because the app is not signed with a paid Microsoft certificate. Choosing "More info" and then "Run anyway" installs it. Some work or school computers block such apps.

07Your responsibilities

You are responsible for obtaining your own credit reports, for checking that everything you import and send is true and accurate, for keeping your device and your data secure, and for any letters you choose to send and any consequences of sending them.

08Updates and changes

We may release updates that fix problems or change features. We may stop selling or supporting Redline at any time. If we stop operating the licence server entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to let licensed users keep using the version they have.

09Warranty disclaimer

Redline is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will read every report correctly, be error-free, or produce any particular result.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of credit, credit opportunity, money, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Redline or from any letter you send. Our total liability for any claim relating to Redline is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

11Ending the licence

Your licence lasts until it is ended. It ends automatically if you break these terms, and we may revoke it in that case. You can stop using Redline at any time by deleting it; the data on your device is yours to keep or delete.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.

13General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about Redline. If any part is found unenforceable the rest stays in force. If we update these terms we will change the effective date above; the version in force when you bought your licence applies to that purchase.
